Living somewhere in the high mountains of Brazil, scientist have recently discovered a new species of mountain climbing animal. Apparently the offspring of a chance mating between the Upland Mountain Goat and one of the feral Coyote species that is native to the region. With the body of a goat, but head and tail of a canine, the new beast which is about the size of a large dog, with horns like a ram, has been nicknamed a - "Cygoaty" - by the locals. The ferocious mountain climbing predator, cygoaty, has been terrorizing the area villages. They say it will eat anything; including potato chips. Authorities have been attempting to cage the creature by luring it into a 55 gallon drum using Lay's potato chips for bait. Government Biologist Dean Frijoles stated "This animal is in too close to the human community to be safe. It must be destroyed." "It might bite somebody!" Some older mountain villagers claim it is nothing more than a sick or lame "Chupa Cabra" that has come nearer to town during the day, because it is too ill to fend for itself anymore. No body has been able to catch the cygoaty. Those who have come near to it are afraid of its growling and sharp teeth. "If it was a goat, I would milk it." said local businessman, Mickey Profit. "But it barks at you." "And it can climb rocks really fast!" Authorities say that they will not kill the animal because it is so unique and needs to be studied further. However, they will resort to more modern methods such as tranquilizer darts, if the potato chip barrel trap proves unsuccessful. Some villagers have started to feel sorry for the cygoaty and have decided to adopt it as their mascot. "The town of Fazenda, Brazil has never had this much media attention. Local business are thriving now, but some restaurants are running out of arapaima, a popular fish pudding." said area chamber of commerce head, Miriki Favela. "We owe a lot to the Cygoaty. Before it appeared, this was a poor town." "Now thousands of tourists and biologists have visited here, and they all need food."
